Killing Me Softly

This is the nearest I can come to a knitted weapon. Allthough my weapons tend to be knitting needles and pins. This design has the name Red Katana. The samurais used swords called katana as their weapons.

Still, to knit this was a fight. Since I used another yarn I had to knit a lot of repeats of the sections - and I got bored. Yes, bored with garter stitch in stripes... Anything is possible in the woolly world.

Anyway - the scarf was found on the bottom of my projects box. Just lying there calling for attention.

And noone can stand that loud calling from a projects box. To make it silent I started knitting again. And it actually gave joy again.

I am so pleased with it. Just in the length I wanted, and just as colored as usual. I really like the shape and the way the design use the two colors. It gives a visuel impression that surprises me.

There is always a reason why I start projects. And I must say that it mostly is because I feel that joy inside.

This little playful girl just jumping up and down. My scarf started and ended that way. What lies in between is almost never important.

And, I could think of knitting one more in some other colors. A good thing cannot be repeated too often.

This is the real secret of life - to be completely engaged with what you
are doing in the here and now. And instead of calling it work realizse it is play.

    Klem

  2. Hei Lone! Jeg skulle gjerne hatt en mus eller to, eller fugler, srmbånd.......................

  3. I don't believe I have seen you make this pattern before--it is really stunning, Lone, and you should make (at least) one more! I love how you relate the name of the pattern to a story. I smiled when I read about your unfinished projects calling out to you as I have a few of those myself. Noisy things, aren't they?! Have a wonderful and I should say colorful weekend!

We "celebrated" the first day of Spring yesterday with 4 or so more inches of snow!
