I knitted another scarf from the same pattern. I was happy about that but that heavy end made it slide of easily.
So I altered the pattern a bit. I increased stitches only when knitting with the mohair.
I knitted until I had 95st on my needle.
I then knitted 10cm without increasing. And then, I decreased only when knitting with the mohair yarn.
Confused? Well, check out the pattern and you will find it understandable.
I think I could use another of those scarves.
So versatile and yet warm. And the contrast between the colors and the yarn makes it glow.

How I love the colours of this scarf. I've had a couple of orange balls in my stash for years, not knowing what to do with it, and your beautiful scarf is giving me inspiration to finally use them. At the moment my country is suffering from snow & ice and those long scarfs are a necessary accessoire when I cycle to my work. One can't have too many scarfs. Have a nice weekend, greetings from Belgium - Rozemie.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Rozemie!!! I hope you find a great pattern for your orange. I never used the color before but now I just love it. I know - we are freezing her too!!!!
DeleteAgain, one of your beautiful and happy projects.
ReplyDeleteI love your colors and stripes.
Your modifications makes this scarf a totally different scarf - your own and much, much more useful!
Thank you so much Ann - you are so right. This is much better!!
DeleteFor et nydelig skjerf! Herlige farger og design;)
ReplyDeleteTusen takk Edny!!!
ReplyDeleteDigger sjalet ditt, Lone:-)
Tusen takk Judith!!
