I have A Shawl To Block

The shawl will be washed and blocked and will look much better after that.
I am so happy about my first ever lace project. Why did I ever doubt that I could knit lace? It is not that difficult, just another way of knitting that I am used to.

I started the project two months ago but I have not knitted every day. It was so much fun. What a lovely feeling to have done it. The pattern reveals a lot of hearts that will be much more visible after blocking.

The shawl is going to be washed and blocked later - as I am using it for a very special occasion. I used up 290grams of yarn and it ended up in a very big shawl. I want it to be big - it is going to keep me warm next winter as well.

I have some lovely knitting friends who have guided me when I was lost about pattern, size and cast off method. I want to thank them all for cheering me up - I could not have done this without you!!
