Wacky Woolly Summer

Woolly: Dressed for this years summer :-)
Some people think that there are polar bears walking around every street in Norway. Well, that could be the case this summer. The weather alternates between freezing wind and sun or rain and even more rain.

Scarf marked for life...
For a woolly knitter that is sort of perfect. In that sence that wool is used even in the middle of July.

Yes, I am not kidding. Although, I have to mention that I may be a little freezy type. So, what do I do?

I knit. In wool. Since I knitted my red sweater I could not enter the world without a matching scarf.

After all - appearance is everything. Or something like that.

The scarf is knitted in the same colors as the sweater although with a bit difference.

The turquoise and the green domininates with the red as a eye catching finish.

Sliding stitches back and forth for this effect.
I really like how this came out.

I did not plan much, just knitted and alternated colors and stripes as I liked.

Of course, one should mark ones knitting properly. In a 100 years someone will find my scarf with my name on... LOL!!

I alternated the three colors with one row of each. Easy peasy when sliding the stitches back and forth.

I enjoyed that and it gives a fun effect on a project.

Unless the summer really turns up this year - I am properly dressed for the weather.

With my wacky woolly umbrella from Ireland.

Can you remember who you were, before the world told you who you should be?

  2. I love your latest scarf! I did not realize it could be that cold during the summer in Norway--the year we visit (or at least while we were there) it was very comfortable! Glad you stay snuggled up in style! That is the cutest umbrella!

Her hjemme er vinden litt mildere.

Det er krævende at have stil!
    Helheden er herlig.
Du ville havde fundet dig hjemme hos Charlotte Kåe og hendes Krydret strik.
