I Wish You All A Happy New Year
I appreciate everyone of you. Your comments means the world and the fact that my blog is still here is thanks to you. Now, lets take a look on the year of 2016.
This could have been a normal knit year. But nothing in life is normal, is it? My shoulders went on strike before the summer and I had to find another way to be creative. Thankfully I am much better and knitting is again the red thread in my creating.
Scarf Of The Year
When I saw the happy pom pom shawl I almost fell off the chair. LOL!! I had to knit it - but it was in Finnish. Google translater came up with a really strange pattern and I contacted the designer and got help. I have to admit - it took over. I have knitted six of them. The favorite must be the rainbow one.
Here are all the pom pom madness😊
Only Clothes Garment Of The Year
I had planned to knit a new sweater but I only managed to knit a tunic in Holst yarn. I am not that pleased with it. A strange fit and too short. I could easily do something about the length. But I think I would rather knit a new one in a color I like better.
Diversion Of The Year
I have to be creative. So when knitting was out, stitchmarkers were in. I have great fun making them and finding all those charms for them. I mainly give them away as gifts or sell them to friends. They look good in a glass and I can make them very personal with words and charms.
I have made a lot - I tend to overdo things and think I could use a million stitchmarkers or that others could need a hundred sets of them... LOL!! Here are some more of them.
I ended with a total use of about 18 kilometers yarn. I have knitted seven gifts for children. How many sets of stitch markers? I have no idea. All in all a very good creative year.
Whatever happens to you, you can either see it
as a curse and suffer it, or you can see it as a blessing and make use of it
