My First Design
Bright colors, hearts and a lot of stitches. My first design is finished. It is a strange feeling to have done it. And I am overwhelmed with all the comments on Ravelry. It is a little part of me and my creating.
The design is the first finished colorful project I made some years ago. But it really took some time to get the pattern ready. And I am surprised about all the time it takes to write a pattern. And this is only a scarf.
I give you tips about colors. And I tell you how to get a jogless pattern. Not to mention about spit splicing to avoid all those ends to weave in. The pattern is in norwegian and english.
Over 400 has already downloaded the pattern. I am so excited about this. And I feel blessed to being able to share my love for knitting in colors. The best things in life are free - or they should be! My design is free for you to download.
The scarf in the pattern is knitted in the norwegian yarn Rauma Finull and Pt2, but any fingering yarn will do. This is all about the complementary colors.
If you are on Ravelry you can read about and download the pattern here.
If you are not on Ravelry you can download the pattern here.
Enjoy - and please let me know what you think.

DeleteSuperbe, wonderfull design! I certainly have to pick up knitting again now I see this. And so nice to see the 'whole you' on the picture, I think it is one of the first times I see your happy face on a picture.
ReplyDeleteI have already put it with my favorites on Ravelry, happy designing!
Thank you Annelies!!! It was a huge step to take - to show my face online. A border to cross... I could not hide anymore and the design photos would look bad...
